How to Decorate your Pub for Christmas

It’s time to think about Christmas decorating! It will be here before we know it! Here are a few tips on decorating your pub for that festive time.

Scheme 1:Silver and White

1. Declutter

Before placing any decorations get rid of any unnecessary items which have been hanging about the place. Remove out of date posters and A4 pieces of paper. Clear the backbar counter and simplify the display. Put any non essential items into storage to create space for a tree and decorations.

2. Filter

Filter out existing decorations and decide what you have that will go with this years scheme. If its not in good condition then bin it (unless it has an antique quality about it!) If you have never had a coordinated scheme then now is the time to invest in a good quality package that will last.

Scheme 2:Traditional Red and Green

3. Colour Scheme

Use a colour scheme that is best suited to your Premises. The 3 schemes that are shown here will probably go with most Pubs as they are simple and classic.

4. What to use?

We recommend going for the traditional wreaths/ branches and garlands albeit variations of those. For a classic look we really don’t recommend Santas and Snowmen, and eleve. Don’t over do it with quantity, 1 item in each seating bay or area and garlands along the backbar or bar bulkhead. Garlands look well on fireplaces and staircases too.

Scheme 3:Natural and Rustic

Here are some insitu pictures which show the application of decoration.

Great tips, not just for pubs but for the home too. They’re all really lovely schemes but I especially like scheme 3, the natural camp; rustic look and the Berry feast images. Good advise on Santas camp; Snowmen I couldn’t agree more!! Will you be doing something similar for say Easter, Valentines, Halloween etc? It would be very useful. Well done!

This is great and not just appropriate for bars it is really useful for for Office Receptions/Foyers, Conference Centres of course Hotels & Restaurants. Airports….how fantastic would it be to arrive home for Christmas and be greeted with someting tasteful and a tacky free zone.
    Well Done!
